Hon. Akiba who sacked former Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency member, Eta Mbora in the 2023 general elections, threw the Labour Party towels on Thursday December 5th, 2024.
He received 23,759 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party candidate, Edim Inok who received 21,16 votes, and the PDP candidate, Hon. Etta Mbora, who got 19,584 votes.
Hon. Akiba is a former Chairman of Odukpani and has represented the LGA in the House of Assembly.
