In honor of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024, Nigerian Tech-Entrepreneur and Author Mólly Ephraim distributed free copies of her book The Teenage Entrepreneur to secondary school students in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.
First published in 2018 by Upright Publishers (ISBN: 978-0-244-40255-6), The Teenage Entrepreneur has sold 2,000 copies, as revealed by Ephraim in June 2024 through her social media channels. The book is designed to inspire young people to pursue entrepreneurship and build businesses, with a particular focus on empowering underserved youth through vocational skills training programs that enhance their socio-economic wellbeing.
Speaking to the students, Mólly encouraged them to view entrepreneurship as a solution to the current economic challenges, stating that currently about 48.1millon Nigerians can't afford to eat a three square meal. She shared insights into her own entrepreneurial journey, which began when she was just 16 years old, and highlighted her experience in running multiple businesses.
"An empowered teenager is a force for change," Ephraim said, urging the students to take charge of their futures.
