The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Boki Chapter, His Youthfulness, Comrade Ekiewa Douglas Jnr has been honoured with distinguished special recognition award.
The award was presented by the students of History and International Studies Department University of Calabar.The students who described him as an inspiration to them since his days in the university and his continuous support to the students community even years after his graduation, also maintained that his services to humanity will pay off some day.
Responding to the award, Comrade Ekiewa appreciated them for finding him worthy of the recognition, that doing the little he is doing for the students is because he went to school a poor boy, and went through hell before graduation, and so he understands what students and particularly poor students are going through in their various campuses mostly in this trying time of our nation's economy.
"Silver and gold I may have not, but will continue to do the little within my reach to aid students community in any little way it can go". he maintained.
