NYCN: Electoral Committee sets date for Boki Wards Executive Elections, to screen candidates on March 9th

 

The Electoral Committee of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Boki chapter have began sales of interest forms for interested candidates wishing to contest executive ward positions on 23rd of March 2024.

While the board are set to screen candidates on March 9th, interested candidates are urged to express their interest and proceed with consulting various stakeholders.

In a press release made available by the Electoral committee chairman, Mr. Kumini Sheriff Otu-Osibu, said 23rd of March set for the elections is mainly to allow sufficient time for candidates to campaign, engage in consultations, and fully prepare for the election process. Urging all interested candidates to conduct their campaigns responsibly and ethically, seeking support from fellow members and stakeholders in a respectful manner.

The circular reads;

"I hope this circular finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to officially declare the process of the election open for the positions within the ELECO board of NYCN Boki. As per the guidelines set forth by the board, interested candidates are now free to express their interest and proceed with consulting various stakeholders.

"Interested candidates are encouraged to carefully review the responsibilities and requirements of the positions they wish to contest. It is important to note that the prices listed above are the monetary compensation associated with each respective position.

"The electoral committee will commence the screening of candidates on the 9th of March. Candidates are required to submit their applications and relevant documents to the committee by this date. The screening process aims to ensure that all candidates meet the necessary criteria and qualifications for their desired positions.


"Furthermore, the elections will be held on the 23rd of March 2024. This date has been selected to allow sufficient time for campaigning, consultations, and preparation for the election process.
