A militant group suspected to be pro-Biafran supporters on Thursday (July 13) allegedly attacked a foreign boat, killing two persons.

The boat, according to a reliable source, was conveying cartons of helmets to deliver to oil workers at the Maritime border in Bakassi Peninsula.
“They were intercepted by the militants in the morning hours in Atabong East high sea, Idabato subdivision, Bakassi”, the source said.
The source added that the group carted away some helmets before the arrival of Cameroonian soldiers.
The incident has sent a chill wind into the spines of both Nigerian and Cameroonian nationals who now live in fear.
At the time of filing this report, security agencies from both countries are yet to issue statements about the incident.
