USAID Medicines Technologies And Pharmaceutical Services Pays Courtesy Visit To DG CRSPHCDA.

The leadership of the USAID Medicines Technologies and Pharmaceutical services (MTaPS) program with a mandate to improve access to COVID-19 vaccination through the private sector; private hospitals and community Pharmacies has today in a bit to enhance the working relationship between them and the cross river state primary health care development agency paid the Director General of the Agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong a courtesy visit.

The country office team composed of the country program lead, Doreen Enejoh, the national consultant Chinenye Ekpemauzor and Mrs Gupo Justin Enang the CRS MTaPS Consultant led other team members on a courtesy visit to the DG to first congratulate her on her well deserved appointment and to appreciate her for her outstanding support to COVID-19 programs in the state especially in the private facilities. 

"DG, we're here to formally congratulate you on your well deserved appointment and to thank you for your numerous outstanding efforts in terms of the Covid-19 program in the private sector. We have also seen the importance to discuss what needs to be done differently in other to ramp up vaccination numbers from the private sector."

Responding, Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong commended the USAID leadership for their hard work and positive contributions towards the fast growth of the health sector while assuring them of more synergy. "USAID has remained one of our top partners with plenty of support and outstanding achievements in our health sector. We'll continue to work as a team especially in the area of the Covid-19 vaccination exercise which you have made significant impact within the short period of time. You can always count on my Agency for more synergy."

The USAID MTaPS team promised further support to the state to ensure that the full potential of the private facilities are explored as the state works towards attainment of herd immunity through the Covid-19 vaccination to majority of the people.

In a vote of thanks, the permanent secretary of the agency Dr. Etim Effiong Ayi commended the effort of the USAID team and her leadership as he reiterated the agency's readiness to carryout more partnerships and work in synergy to ensure that cross riverians get vaccinated timely.
