The Governor spoke at the State Executive Council Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Calabar while receiving Prince Otu, his deputy, Peter Odey, the National and state Assembly members-elect of the APC who came to show him their Certificates to Return.
According to Ayade, the era of political Godfather is gone in Cross River State Politics, saying Otu emerged winner of the poll with the popular majority votes.
The Governor insisted that credit for the success of Senator Otu at the governorship election should go to God as all praise belongs to Him on his victory as a successor, from the Southern Senatorial district.
He said his wish and prayer for the incoming governor is for him to outperform and outshine him in office with his policies and programmes.
Earlier, the governor-elect told the Governor that he and other elected politicians on the platform of the APC were in his office to thank him for standing by them, when it matters most.
Senator Otu who once represented Cross River South Senatorial district in the Senate assured that his administration will complete projects the outgoing administration will leave behind
