The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong has intensified efforts to Tackling Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Primary Health Care Facilities in Nigeria through clinical guidelines and m-Health training strategies.
The training exercise which was declared open by the DG took place at Axari hotels, Calabar with a charge to participants to show commitment and interest especially in areas that needs more of their attention stating that there is a dire need of medical experts in the society and as such the training exercise will help boast their knowledge and manpower.
The training covered a wider part of diseases like hypertension, Epilepsy, Mental Health Depression and Anxiety, Chronic Respiratory Diseases amongst others with experts training participants in different field.
Facilitators during the training includes; Dr. Oby Onwusaka FHIND, Associate Prof. Bernadine Ekpenyong of the Dept. Of Public Health University of Calabar, Dr. Margaret Akpan of the Dept of Public Health University of Calabar amongst others.
