The Chairman of Etung LGA Hon. John Etuk has joined in the fight against the cholera outbreak in the state by supporting with some medical commodities across the villages that makes up the LGA.

On her part and in a message of appreciation, the director general of the CRSPHCDA Deaconess Mrs Abasioffiong Offiong thanked the Chairman Hon. John while calling on other local government chairmen who are yet to support their LGAs to do so to help government in this fight.
She has reassured cross riverians that the house to house cholera sensitization exercise is ongoing as she will not leave any stone unturned and will continue to be in the field to make sure that cross riverians are kept safe.
She has again thanked the state government and all partners for their tremendous support and efforts that is helping to cushion the cholera outbreak.
Mrs Abasioffiong has also called on cross riverians to continue to practice good hygiene, regular hand washing, proper closing of all drinking materials, and being careful with the water they drink stating that cholera is a waterborne disease that spreads and kills faster.
"Effective hygiene practices is the most scientifically proven way to break the route of transmission of cholera. As simple as effective hand washing before eating, after eating, after using the toilet, before breastfeeding, etc can do a whole lot of magic." She added.
