The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 Governorship Campaign in Cross River North, climaxed today in Ogoja Local Government Area in grand style, witnessing large turn out of supporters and mass defection from APC.
The Party’s governorship candidate, Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, joined by Sen Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Barr. Godwin Offiono and Hon. Rita Agbo Ayim, met with the Ogoja Traditional rulers council before proceeding for a town Hall meeting with party leaders, religious groups, pressure groups and others.
Sen. Prof. Sandy Onor in his speech thanked the people of Cross River North for their support during the PDP Governorship primary.
"When you have the kind of representation that Jarigbe offers, you can not but give him another chance"
"...They speak in loud words but do little, vote for genuine representation, Vote for Sen. Jarigbe, Barr. Godwin Offiono, Rita Ayim" he stated.
Sen. Jarigbe, at the rally, urged the people to resist every attempt by the APC to obstruct the electioneering process by protecting their votes on election day. He added that, he will continue in his developmental strides across the Senatorial district.
In same vein, the House of representatives candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency,Barr. Godwin Offiono also encouraged the people to vote for all PDP candidates and ensure their votes count.
The event also witnessed the defection of Surveyor Kalita Igbe Aruku, Former APC House of Assembly Aspirant, Deac. Gregory Agam, Former ADC Senatorial Candidate, Mr Andrew Ayim, alongside thousands of their supporters. They also declared their total support for all the party’s candidates.
