...The need for contenders to sheathe their swords.

From scenario of the PDP rerun primaries, held on the 5th October, 2022, between Barr Attah Ochinke and Hon Abang Pius Besong, the PDP candidate for Ikom/Boki federal constituency. It's authentic to report that,  we have witnessed a pragmatic shift in the golden annals of our politics as a people. It's also a clear confirmation of the popular saying that, "the power of the people is greater than the people  in power."

My kobo piece of advice, goes to Barr Attah Ochinke, a renowned lawyer, erstwhile CRS Commissioner for Justice and presently CRS, NBA Chairman, who seems to have lost out in the contest.
His co-contender (Abang Pius) expressed his constitutional right as guided by the constitution to seek redress in a competent court of jurisdiction, which turned out in his disfavor and at the ballot again, the people have decided who should lead them. Isn't right to say that, he(Ochinke) should honorably accept the outcome of the rerun in good faith? to preserve his hard earned reputation as a man of honour, since a good dancer ought to leave the stage when the ovation is high.
The people have chosen Abang Pius in a free and fair election and it should be regarded.

Ochinke, is a good leader, well respected by young people across board, but at this point, the Youth o'clock comrades have decided to take the bull by the horn. The party delegates have also made their final choices and it should be respected accordingly. All hands must be on deck to support the party's supremacy.
United we stand, divided we fall. PDP is one indivisible family.

It will be of more value and prestige, for him to sheathe his sword and embrace Abang Pius, rather than filing a case at the Appeal Court, his defeat at the appellate court will become a horrible run-down on his profession and political career, and would best be describe as a last kick of a dying horse.
We recall vividly, how much effort he put in just to disrupt the rerun, yet he was displaced at the National secretariat, the second tussle was completely missed when he lost at the competent court of jurisdiction, his third striking was lost out in the rerun and the last kick to determine his political relevance is to embrace his younger brother, Hon. Abang Pius, and maintain the reputation and relevance or lost it all at the appeal court, because we are reliably pessimistic, he won’t make it at the Appellate court

With the amount of respect we have for him as a person and to avoid losing his political relevance, I will conclusively say, sportsmanship is a rare virtue and hence the party is supreme. Barr Ochinke, should embrace Mr Abang Pius Besong, for the interest of our people.

No Victor! No Vanquish!!
