Renowned citizen journalist and publisher of CrossRiverWatch, Agba Jalingo has revealed the identities of the suspects that stole from a boutique along Marian road in Calabar, Cross River State.

Recall that a CCTV video of two men shop-lifting a boutique in Calabar has gone viral and circulating on social media but the identities of the suspects were yet to be ascertained.

However, on his social media page on Saturday evening, Jalingo alleged that the suspect is one Sunny Ejesi from Utugwang in Obudu Local Government Area of the state, who is also an aspirant for the Utugwang Central Ward Councillorship election billed to take place in 2023.

The other is Jeremiah Abo Tanjo, who resides at No. 13 Main Market Road, still in Obudu in Northern Cross River State.

“The shop-lifter who went with his boy to steal from a boutique along Marian road in Calabar has been identified.

“CrossRiverWatch search has returned the fellow as Sunny Ejesi from Utugwang in Obudu LGA in Northern Cross River State. He is also aspiring to be a councillor in Utugwang Central Ward under the PDP.

“Sources in Obudu have told us that Mr. Ejesi is notorious for such nefarious activities and has been arrested several times by the Obudu Division of the Nigeria Police over alleged theft of diesel, collection of money under false pretence and other sundry allegations.

“He was captured on CCTV providing cover for an accomplice who accompanied him to a boutique along Marian road in Calabar, shoplifting a cloth material before departing the boutique and driving away in his vehicle that was donated to him recently by a House of Reps aspirant in the last primaries election”, Jalingo said in one of his Facebook posts.

In another Facebook post, he said: “Jeremiah Abo Tanjo, is the second person in this shoplifting video at a boutique along Marian Road in Calabar. He is the actual person that lifted the cloth material from the shelf while Sunny Ejesi his accomplice provided cover from the sales girl.

“Jeremiah Tanjo lives at No. 13 Main Market Road Obudu. His father owns a chain of shops from No 13-16 along the same road”.
