Engr. Emmanuel Asu Abang hails from Abo Ogbangante Village in Abo Ward,  Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria.

He is an  Environmentalist,  Software Engineer, a seasoned System Analyst, and a Community Development Advocate.

He is also a Strategic Mobilizer who has served as Cross River State Coordinator for Contact and MOBILIZATION under  the Leadership of the Former President of Nigeria, His Excellency DR. Goodluck Jonathan. He served under the office of the Special Adviser on Ethics & values.

He also served as a Tourism Consultant under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Akwa Ibom State, charged with the responsibilities of planning, advertising, coordinating and implementing the “AKWA-MBONO Festival in December 2011”. and  updating and promoting the state tourism potentials.

He had served as Member in the Commercial Agricultural Development Agency for Cross River State Government.

He initiated the Calabar Arts Festival organized in collaboration with the Cross River State Tourism Bureau in 2008.

He is the Initiator Calabar Agricultural festival.  Also the LET’S GO GREEN CONFERENCE: WITH ATTENTION GEARED TOWARDS AGRICULTURE & YOUTH’S CAPACITY BUILDING.

Engr. Asu Abang is the Initiator and National Leader of WANBONEH SUPPORT ORGANISATION (WSO) and THE NATIONAL YOUTH AND WOMEN PATRIOTIC FRONT (NYWPF).

Engr. Emmanuel Asu Abang believes that "The best way to solving unemployment is to invest in Human Capital Development, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and Technology."

He is happily married to an Efik Princess with children.
