The newly elected chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Cross River/Akwa Ibom states branch, Mr Akin Oyediran has said he will tackle challenges in the manufacturing sector under his jurisdiction through advocacy with the governments of both states.
Oyediran who is also the President of the Medical Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and Managing Director of Jubilee Manufacturing Company in the Onna Local Government area of Akwa Ibom State said it was advocacy that led to the ban on the importation of substandard syringes into the country by the senate, last year.
He stated this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent. According to him, the sector has been crippled by so many factors including forex sourcing, especially with the current economic situation in the country.
