National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Betta Edu, on Sunday alongside The Disability Commission Executive Secretary, James Lalu Inaugurates the  leadership  of APC Women with disabilities Forum in the North Central for Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Mobilization of their members.  

In a statement released by  Special Adviser on  political matters to the National Women Leader, Seun Bosede Osamaye,  Dr Edu while speaking at the event which had over 200 women with disabilities in attendance in FCT,Abuja, reiterated the commitment of the APC and The APC  National Women's Wing to continue to support  all Nigerian Women for actualization of  their dreams regardless of their status or disabilities.  She emphasized that women with disabilities have special abilities to deliver on the assignments they are given and thus should go on everywhere propagating the Tinubu  and Shettima gospel. In her words,  "his Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will consolidate on  an all inclusive government currently being run by President Mohammed Buhari for all people with disabilities".  She further stated that the 1M naira given to them was a start up grant and that her office is always open to accommodate them with opportunity to açcess more fund as time goes on. 

Similarly, The Executive Secretary of the Disability Commission, Hon James Lalu in his goodwill message appreciated the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu for her unflinching supports to the disability community. He emphasized with nostalgia that APC is the ONLY party that made provisions for people living with disabilities in it's constitution. In his words, "APC is the most inclusive party in Africa, the first political party that have given us disability act, the only party that have established a National Commission for Persons with Disabilities. It is the only party that has a space in her constitution and manifesto. The first party that created the office of the Senior Special Adviser on Disability Matters to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. APC is the only party that has structure for persons with disabilities from the National Leader on PWDs to the Unit Leader on PWDs.  

The National Cordinator of the APC Women with disabilities, Lois Auta in her speech appreciated the APC National Women Leader for making history in the disability community by  giving them the sum of one million naira. She said it's because of her love and accessibility to all women with disabilities that has made them to decide to honour her with disability champion award. Hon lois said The APC Women with disabilities Forum comprises of women with different disabilities such as Visual and hearing impaired, physically challenged women, albinism and Other clusters 

The leadership of the group in attendance among others  includes Hon Lois Auta, Convener/National Coordinator, FCT Cordinator,  Angelina Ugben,  Hon. Kyennan Mizim, North Central Coordinator (Plateau State) and others. 

 

The National Women Leader, Dr. Betta Edu presented a birthday cake to the North Central Cordinator, Hon Kyenan Mzim which was the highlight of the event.
