100 Cross River State Students' of the Nigerian Law School appeal to Government/Corporate bodies and individuals for Law School Grant

In a letter addressed to the Governor which was made available to Bokiblog by Miss Inde, Immanuella Sikile, the Deputy National Coordinator of the group, the students wrote:

Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade
Governor
Cross River State

Your Excellency

APPEAL FOR LAW SCHOOL GRANT

The National Coordinating Committee of the 2021/2022 CRS Bar Part II trainees of the Nigerian Law School writes on the above subject matter.

It could be recalled that our relationship with you as a father, senior colleague and Governor dates back to 2016 during the illness of our dear friend, Peter Orim, though, we lost him. Your efforts and that of your Chief of Staff, Chief Martin Orim were massive.

At the moment, we're undergoing a one year mandatory professional training at the various campuses of the Nigerian Law School. Our efforts has brought us this far amidst huge financial implications. Although, some good individuals may have reached out to a few lucky students. We sincerely commend these Cross Riverians and we appeal to government, still.

After series of appeals to your office last year, (September, October, November and December) 2021 in company of our dear President and junior colleague, Ebaye Akonjom (may his soul rest in peace) who for love of his colleagues and humanity journeyed all through with us from one Government office to another  without response, we appeal again at this juncture that you come to our aide.

It's pathetic seeing indigenes of other States enjoying Government largesse; laptops, feeding and books allowances while those of us from Cross River State looked dejected, pale and hungry.

The students said, lack of financial wherewithal has been a huge challenge to their studies since they resumed on 29th November, 2021.

They pleaded with the government, individuals and organisations to come to their aide and also that, a list of almost 100 students with phone numbers, LGAs, etc is available for government, corporate bodies and individuals wishing to assist them.
