This story is mentioned in the Biblical Book of Numbers. Certain doughters lived during the Isrealites’ Exodus  from Egypt as they prepared to enter the Promised land and they raised before the Israelite community the case of a woman’s right and obligation to inherit property in the absence of a male heir in the family. Zelophehad, a man of the Tribe of Manasseh,  had five daughters but no sons, and therefore no male heirs

In recent times, the atmosphere is agog with echoes of who becomes what in the next political dispensation.
Commentators, spectators and and activists alike are watching to see how events unfold. In this respect I can refer myself to be both.

This is the period where every steward is been challenged to account for his/her stewardship.

YOU WANT TO REPRESENT OR CONTINUE REPRESENTING OUR PEOPLE? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO WIN THAT TRUST.

In this episode I will not look elsewhere but to beam my light on the Senator representing the good people of Cross River State Central senatorial district, Senator Prof Sandy Onor.

My take and question here is distinguished sir, why have you ignored the people of Alanku ward in your first dispensation? Are the people of Alanku in your senatorial district? What have they done wrong to undergo such abandonment? This questions are seeking for answers.

It is crystal clear that Sen Prof Sandy Onor has intentionally calf out the Alanku Ward out of his map of development. Alanku seems to be the most unattended word in Boki local government during his first dispensation.
One will give Kudos to the former Senator, Sen Ndoma Egba for his evident effort to impact in the people of Alanku by working on a few kilometers of roads though not equivalent to other wards which he represented.
Senator Sandy has in recent time being a little bit up and doing in some areas of the district. In recent times Abo ward is celebrating the senator’s gesture of awarding a few kilometers road.

Alanku has been neglected totally by the Senator, no single Borehole, our children in secondary schools have waited in vain for the benevolence of the Senator. Alanku has some of the bad roads in the district. For the benefit of doubt the Bakum – Bubong road has remain unattended to all this while. One will think we found a messiah in Sandy but to no avail.
No portable water, the people are still depending on streams for their drinking water, this is unacceptable given the present trend.
Alanku has the poorest public Healthcare facilities in the district.
Alanku has the highest maternal death rate, infant mortality in the district but we have a Senator.
The people are dying on daily basis out of Cholera, but the Senator can reach out to the people by providing a Borehole atleast.

Well Distinguished Senator sir the people of Alanku Ward may be as the children of Zelophehad in the Bible, they are kindly requesting for their own share of dividend of democracy.

Remember the parable of the talent, the master will someday ask what you did with the share of Alanku Ward.
