Founded in March 2021, and barely 1 year of existence, Wanbuneh support organisation is already laying footholds and winning the hearts of Cross River residents ahead of 2023 general elections.
Wanbuneh is a youth based socio-political platform with more than 20,000 members cut across the 196 wards and polling units in Cross River state. The initiative was birth out of the National Youth and women Patriotic Front (NYWPF) also known as GREAT PATROIT, an association tied to youth mobilization, social awareness, promoting Democracy, Patriotism, Advocacy, Education, Capacity Building and Mentoring of youth and women.
With the vision to help build a community where the youths are self-reliant, self-fulfilled as individuals to contribute constructively to the sociopolitical/socioeconomic development of the society, Wanbuneh’s core mission is to promote peace, unity for the nation and ensuring progress amongst youths & women, good governance and responsible citizenship.

Wanbuneh Support Organisation has proven and shown it's strength in the South and Central Cross River State the past months, and it's very clear that the group is heading to the 51 political wards in Northern Cross River State to unveil Zonal, Chapters, Ward and polling unit Coordinators as revealed in its periodic vanguard.
It has become a surprise to many how the group has managed to spring up into limelight, and after it's Ikom ‘Youth-First Leadership Summit and Patriot Awards’ in December 2021, it felt like yet another accomplishments which captivated the hearts of hundreds of young adults in Cross River Central.
The Summit with theme; ‘PUTTING YOUTHS FIRST, NOT POLITICS’ was focused on inculcating positive leadership attributes, such as integrity, emotional intelligence, accountability, vision, resilience and many much more in Cross River youths. The 2-day youth-first leadership submit intended to groom and mentor youth advocates for the betterment of tomorrow and the society.
It was during the Youth-First Summit, the Distinguish Senator Gershom Bassey empowered thirty five (35) Entrepreneurial Women and Youths in Wanbuneh Support Organisation with forty and twenty thousand naira, respectively.
Wanbuneh also shoulders other laudable initiatives in Cross River State, including the Wanbuneh— Nigeria Patriots Awards, Wanbuneh Agriculture and Skill Acquisition programme (WAASAP) etc.
It's no more news that the Wanbuneh support organisation has been in the frontline of campaigns for the Distinguished Senator Gershom Henry Bassey, a Governor hopeful under the People’s Democratic Party in Cross River State, this is because he is indeed the right man for the job come 2023 and Cross Riverians are hereby urged to join the movement for a better State.
