The handsome looking and gentle spoken Emmanuel Owan polled a total of 105 votes to defeat his closest rival Mr. Osu Lambert who scored 27 votes.
Before his election as the Branch Chairman, Owan has served the Association as the Branch Financial Secretary, a position he held with high sence of responsibility and dignity from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, he was elected the Branch Industrial Relations Officer where he was responsible for all labour issues within the Company.
Having carved a niche for himself among his colleagues as an upright and dependable personality, Owan was elected as the Branch Chairman to further consolidate on the gains of his predecessor.
PHRC is a subsidiary of NNPC that is currently undergoing rehabilitation in order to actualize the Federal Government's efforts of bringing the Nation's Refineries back on stream.
Owan joined the services of NNPC in 2010 and was deployed to PHRC as a Safety Officer.
Emmanuel Owan is definitely coming at a challenging time for the refinery worker and will be met with a lot of challenges.
It is our prayer that Owan will succeed in this his new responsibilities and will make the Boki nation proud.
