CMR. ATAH GIFT EXCEL: Reigniting the National Association of Boki Students World-wide (NABS-WW)

I am Comrade Atah Gift Excel. A student of Public Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences University of Calabar, Calabar. 

I am of the Abo(Bonabe) extraction in Boki Local Government, Cross River State, Nigeria.

As a veteran student unionist with over four years of activism and stewardship, I hereby humbly declare(publicly) my intention to run for the post or office of the president in the forth coming National Association of Boki Students World-wide(NABS WW) general elections.

From when I gained admission into the University till date, I have served as the Public Relations officer and  Constitution Drafting Committee Chairman of National Association of Abo Students World-wide. I have served as Chief of Staff to Comrade Eban Ahmed led 2018/2019 Exco of National Association Boki Students Unical Chapter. 

I was one time Dinner/Award Night Committee Chairman of National Association of Cross River State Students, Unical Chapter. I also Co-Chaired the NACRISS UCC 'Week' Committee.

I represented Boki Students at the Central Senatorial Students Assembly World wide Constitution Drafting Committee. I actually chaired the Committee and made history as I drafted the first or maiden constitution for Students in the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State.

I was a member of the last National Association of Boki Students World-wide electoral board, I represented Abo clan. I have also represented the prestigeous department of Public Administration at Social Sciences Student Association of Nigeria, UNICAL Chapter Electoral Board.

I was also among the Scholarship Committee that was set up by Comrade Awa Peter led NABS WW administration and also the Director of Logistics of the "Peace and Security Summit" that couldn't hold due to the novel covid-19 pandemic.

I contested for the office of the president in the 2019 Public Administration Students Association Elections and couldn't make it. I refused to use the word "fail" because I believe there is always victory at the other side of failure and the game requires "one at a time." 

I'm currently the Spirit head and Caucus Chief(Leader of the Stakeholder's Forum) of the National Association of Boki Students Unical Chapter. 

I am also currently the Electoral Board Chairman of Public Administration Students Association of Nigeria, Unical Chapter. I'm to conduct the elections by next semester.

Just like Lewis H. Lapham posited, "Leadership consists not in degrees of technique but in traits of character; it requires moral rather than athletic or intellectual effort, and it imposes on both leader and follower alike the burdens of self-restraint." I will use my followership experience to ensure or "put first" the welfare of all NABSITES over every other thing if elected.
