The Honourable Commissioner for international Development and Cooperation, Hon. Dr. Inyang Asibong had  expressed readiness of her ministry to partner  with the Cross River State Environmental Protection (CREPA) to promote sustainable and healthy environment in the state.

Hon. Dr. Asibong  made this known during farmiliarization visit to the ministry by  Director General (DG) Hon. Erasmus Ekpang and other Directors of the CRSEA on the 4th of February, 2020.

 The Commissioner expressed her unreserved excitement and appreciation to the Governor, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for revamping the Agency after over a decade of comatose, noting that the agency was in the hands of capable Cross Riverians with good credentials and experiences to actualised its mandate.
 
Dr. Asibong commended the DG and Directors of the Agency for good works. She admonish them  to keep doing their best for the Agency and State at large, while reiterating her ministry's resolve to support the Agency.

In her words: "this Agency is as good as new since the seizureof operations in 2004. I will do my best to give CREPA all the support needed.Whatever is due for the state from international bodies, CREPA will not be left out in term of being beneficiaries. Because Development partners are very particular about environmental 
safety amongst others".

She urged the DG to outline and forward the mandates and job descriptions of the Agency to enable her Ministry know 
how, where and when to support.

On his part the DG of the Agency, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang, noted that this visit was to familiarize and synergize with the Ministry toward achieving the set objectives and mandate given to them by His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade. He lauded the enviable achievements of the Honourable Commissioner and all her giant strides for sustainable environment in the state.

The visit had in attendance the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Ogbang Akwaji, Director Administration Mrs. Mbong, Ministry Accountant - Mrs Jacqueline Akpanke and other principal officers of the Ministry.
