Group Writes Governor Ayade, Appeal Relief of Mr. Thomas Tawo “General Iron” as SA Forestry Security

The Group Umbrella of Boki Youths Forum has in an open letter, called on Cross River State Governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade to relief Mr. Thomas Tawo as his Aide.

APPEAL TO THE GOVERNOR OF CROSS RIVER STATE: H.E SEN. PROF. BEN AYADE, TO RELIEF MR. THOMAS TAWO AKA GENERAL IRON OF HIS DUTY AS HIS SPECIAL ADVISER FOREST SECURITY.

Sequel to the recent unrest in Boki Local Government engineered by the SA to the governor of Cross River State on Forest Security, Mr. Thomas Tawo AKA General Iron. We write to request the His Excellency to relieve Mr. Thomas Tawo (SA Forest Security) of his appointment and necessary steps be taken against him for his actions 

This request is premised on the fact that this appointee who was appointed by H.E is becoming a nuisance to the Boki people and a threat to lives in Boki land

Between June 2020 and January 2021, Mr. Thomas had caused more harm than good. 

Sometimes last year Mr. Thomas allegedly burned his subordinates after dreaming he was betrayed by the same people. Pictures of his actions are online.

Some of our villages in Boki, has a growing cult problem, and no we don't mean campus cultism.

We mean loose street gangs of poor teenage boys with access to drugs, local weapons and a will to commit crimes as drastic as murder for a small fee. These are said to be the handiwork of Mr. Thomas Tawo. 

It's a boiling pot that is gradually exploding in our faces.

Recently, Mr. Thomas Tawo (SA forest Security) attack Mr. Thomas Onabe (Commissioner II, Civil Service Commission). As we write Mr. Thomas Onabe is on admission in one medical facility in Calabar undergoing medical treatment as a result of the assassination attempt on him by Thomas Tawo 

Report has it that the circumstantial evidence available pointed to what would be openly called a murder attempt in any Civil Setting. People are  unwilling to speak on the matter because of the person involved and dire nature of the subject.

Mr Thomas Tawo has continue to boast that he has successfully sent alot of prominent men of his ward on exile because he is the king of the political ward of Oku, Borum Njua ward in Boki LGA.

Some quoted the Igbo proverb "The child who is sent by his father to steal breaks down the door" 

The above proverb arose because the boldness shown by Mr. Thomas Tawo AKA General Iron is largely due to the belief that he had the full backing of the Government of Cross River State; a pool of demagogues & textbook of narcissists.

Following these, the UMBRELLA OF BOKI YOUTHS  FORUM appeal to H.E to relieve Mr. Thomas of his appointment and severe action be taken against him before he turn the peaceful Boki to abode of criminal activities and also to proof to the people the Government has nothing to do with his nonchalant attitudes.

The task of the Office the SA Forest Security though enormous, the SA has proven his worth by living below the demand and responsibility of the office.

RECOMMENDATION

It is based on the above and for the purpose of peace and unity among the people of Boki extraction that we recommend that Mr. Thomas be relieved of his Appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Benedict Ayade, KSJi
