2021: We're Heading Into A Year Full of Hope and Positive Turn-around — Rt Hon Itam Abang

The member Representing Boki 1 constituency in Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon (Dr) Itam Abang have congratulated Cross Riverians as well well as constituents on New year Celebration.

In her message made available to Boki Blog, Rt Hon Abang maintained that 2021 will be a year full of Hope and anticipation for a positive turn-around.

It reads;

Dear great people of Boki 1 Constituency, 

First of all, we thank God for the fact that He has brought us to this New Year despite the many challenges we have gone through in the year 2020 especially those that came with the outbreak of Covid19, a global pandemic that has not only caused loss of lives,  many of us lost income through job loses and many of us had to close down our businesses due to the negative economic impact of the virus; moreso the tourism sector. 

With the virus also came restrictive measures including lockdowns which in part led to increased social-family ills like domestic violence as a result of the economic pressure and challenges as well as low productivity by our Farmers.

Thus, it's incumbent upon us to thank God for the fact that he has brought us as the people of Boki 1 Constituency successfully to an entirely new season. 

All along we have been peaceful, coexisted as one, endured the challenges as one people and have supported one another where we each can; as brothers and sisters. 

As we head into 2021, we're heading into a year full of Hope and anticipation for a positive turn-around of things, we're heading into a year in which we hope that our businesses will once again come to life and flourish, we're heading into a year full of hope that new opportunities will arise. We must therefore keep that hope, but more importantly, continue with the peace and the unity we have all enjoyed as the people of Boki 1 Constituency.

 Despite our political and social differences, we have to continue to coexist, we have to put our differences aside and move forward as one people, in that light and through the grace of God all things shall be well. Our Agriculture sector and tourism will pick up to it's maximum, our economy will flourish. 

My wish for you as we usher in the year 2021 is that your plans and desire be realized. May we keep the hope and the belief, may we live as one people before one God. May your 2021 bring joy and happiness for you, your family, friends and your loved ones.
