Independence Day - BCA Chairman, Rev. E. Otuson Felicitate With Nigerians @60

The Chairman of Boki Christian Association (BCA), District Secretary of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria- Boki District, and Senior Pastor of AGC, Okundi Boki, Rev. Evang. Eleazar Otuson has felicitated with Boki people, Cross riverians, and Nigeria on the occasion of the 60th Independence Day Celebration.

Today marks the 60th year of Nigeria"s declaration of Independence on 1st October 1960. To many, it's a day of celebration of freedom from foreign control, but to a majority, it really has made no difference.

60 years of existence has not really made any impact in the citizen's life or brought the freedom expected as the Nation is yet to provide true security, governance, infrastructure and improved economy and better life for the citizens.

Nigerians independence draws the picture of Man's declaration of independence at the garden of Eden - from the Government of heaven (Gen. 3) which instead of bringing peace, rather activated death, sickness, suffering, and the genes of sin and corruption in the human race.

At 60 years of Independence, can we argue that it has left us in disunity, religious and tribal bai's and hatred, mismanagement of public funds, corruption, insecurity, suffering, oppression, hypocrisy, falsehood and lies and on the verge of collapse?

May I challenge Nigerians, especially those in authority, at the age of 60 years to have a rethink. A fool at 60, is an eternal fool. It's high time to drop our personal, selfish, tribal and religious interests and address issues that threatens to tears us apart; or seek a permanent and peaceful separation if we can no longer coexist as one and indivisible nation. There's always a way out of every situation for those determined to find it and the Nigerian challenge is never an exception.

God has provided true freedom in Jesus Christ (John 8:32 - 36). He offers true Independence to all who trust and accept him as their Lord and personal Savior. Accept Jesus today and be FREE INDEED!
