The people of Abo ward in boki LGA of Cross river state have lost sleep due to the constant attack by cultist and armed robbers.
The Councillor representing Abo Ward and the majority Leader of Boki Legislative Council, Hon PIUS KEJOU OSANG has condemned the attacks and brought day light robbery in Orimekpang community of Abo Ward in Boki LGA
The incident which took place on Saturday September 26 was reportedly brutal as many lost their goods and monies respectively.
Recall that they’ve been cult clashes at the same community which has recently claimed the lives of many and also caused social unrest due to sporadic shootings.
HON PIUS KEJUO narrated how the series of attacks on the indigenes and residents have marred businesses activities in that area given that the populace now live in fear of further attacks by these unknown gunmen.
When asked about the role of the security Agents in the recent attacks, He rather said the people have resulted to self defense given that the security agencies in these areas have gone mute
According to Hon Pius, robbery and killing is alien to the Abo Nation and the perpetrators of such evil are advised to dispatch from such activities or be ready to face the full wrath of the law”.
He (Pius Kejuo) proceeded by saying Even though the security agencies have been duly alerted, there is an urgent need for the government to beef up security in Orimekpang.
On Behalf of the Good people of ORIMEKPANG I hereby call on the necessary government authorities to rejuvenate or restore peace and security in the Abo Nation.
