The Secretary to the Cross River state government Barr Tina Banku Agbor has pledged to support the management of Radio Nigeria Canaan city Fm calabar in its drive to promote local languages through its local content programs.
Barr. Agbor made the pledge in her office yesterday, when the General Manager of the station Mr Sam Nsor paid her a courtesy call.
She commended them for introducing an indigenous Boki language program in their station adding that it will boost the speaking of the dialect and afford the locals the opportunity to understand better the Governor Ben Ayade's development strides and what the government was doing to improve the general well being of the people.
Earlier the General Manager of the station , Mr Sam Nsor said the visit was to enable him solicit needed support of the SSG and the state government generally towards its smooth operations in the state . He was confident that the introduction of local content in it programming will further publicise the policies , programs and achievements of Governor Ben Ayade in the state.
