The 2020 Banjuare Boki Festival and staging of Mr and Miss Boki World pageant has been postponed due to the ongoing threat of the novel coronavirus pandemic to next year.
The organizers of the project made this known in a statement to Boki Blog on Saturday, July 11.

In the statement, signed by Mr. George Akobor; said “recognizing the pressing and urgent need to protect the health and safety of the our people, families and friends, all the passionate Banjuare Boki supporters, and the general public.”
“We have reschedule the 2020 Banjuare Boki Festival and the staging of Mr and Miss Boki World pageant activities on guidelines and regulations issued by the government in line with the safety measures of the Novel Coronavirus,” it said.
“Rest assured that the events will still take place next Year and all already Registered participants for the Pageant contest will not have to register again next year as this will cover you through,” He added.
The Banjuare Boki Festival and Mr and Miss Boki World 2020 staging was originally scheduled to take place in August, but now postponed to August 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
