The Traditional Leaders, Chiefs and People of Bawup Clan In Boki Local Government Area, Cross River State, has conferred a chieftaincy title of “Otu Binong Echi Obonghe Mu Bawup” on an illustrious son of the land, Sir Victor Abang 'Mature'.
The Title which means "The first king of good deeds of Bawup" is in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishment in public service which has elicited massive development in the Land.
Chief (Sir) Victor Abang was the APC Candidate for Ikom/Boki House of Representatives in 2019 NASS Elections. It was a moment of joy and celebration and the people of Bawup chanted songs of victory at the event.
