Cross River State has concluded plans to host the Taiwan-African Business Association on a four day working visit to the State.

The move is part of the industrialisation agenda of the state governor, Sen. Ben Ayade.

Immediate past Commissioner for Finance, Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr, who was nominated for the position of a commissioner disclosed this at a meeting with the Calabar Chambers Of Commerce & Industry in Calabar.

Ekpengyong stated that the Taiwan-African Business Association will be in Calabar from Wednesday 20th to Saturday the 23rd of November, 2019, to share ideas on how best the State can create synergies, foster bilateral relations, and develop trade benefits for the State with Taiwan.

The visit according to him “is part of the efforts of Governor Ben Ayade in fostering bilateral relations and to develop trade benefits for the state with Taiwan.”

He said: “The team will arrive the Margaret Ekpo International Airport on the 20th of November and pay a courtesy call to the Governor of Cross River State, while on the 21st the team will be holding a Business Conference with the Organised Private Sector, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and members of the Calabar Chambers of Commerce and Captains of Industry at channel view hotels at 9am.”

He further stated that the team will pay a visit to one of Taiwanese foremost Businessman in Nigeria, Mr Bob Lin, CEO of Enghuat Industries at 9am on Friday, November 22nd, after which they will have a business lunch with the Governor, Speaker of the house of Assembly, Rt Hon Eteng Williams, and captains of industries.

He added that, the team is also expected to inspect the the Ayade Industrial Park as well as The Tinapa Business resort, EPZ, Calas Vegas Resort amongst others.
