First of all, I would like to remind you that The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has always been the favorite party of citizens of Boki and even Cross River as a State.
But due to some current turn in events in the State and in Boki L.G.A in particular, I think PDP is loosing its stand on the favorite ground.
But due to some current turn in events in the State and in Boki L.G.A in particular, I think PDP is loosing its stand on the favorite ground.
Now, here are a few reasons I fear so:
To start with, the current electricity situation in Boki, it has to be noted that under a PDP administration, Boki has been in perpetual blackout for over a year now. this is self explanatory I believe no one needs to be told the importance of electricity (Don't tell me to use a dynamo, you didn't buy any for me).
Secondly, the recent cross-carpeting of the Senator representing the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State, Sen. John Owan-Enoh to the All Progressive Congress (APC), has dealt even a greater blow to the stand of PDP as favorites in Boki Local Government Area, as most of the supporters he had while in PDP had to also leave the Party to maintain what you would call relationship, but i prefer terming it "cash flow".
Also, adding insult to the injury, is the fact that the Director-General of the State Electrification Agency is a citizen of Boki, yet, Boki does not have light (Don't ask me how it concerns PDP, because you and I know that he is one of the Party's elderly statesman in Boki, and Cross River as a State).
Note: This is not aimed at provoking any member of the People's Democratic Party, it's just a call to wake up and act, like the adage goes, "to be forewarned is to be forearmed".
