It has been reported that the Presidential and National Assembly elections were conducted peacefully at Nfom Osokom village in Boki local government area amidst the tension in surrounding communities.

According to Policy Activist Dr. Agan Longinus, the people of Nfom Osokom came out in mass and voted candidates of their interests. He said; "Our Chiefs, Elders, Youths, Men and Women participated positively. However, today is a remarkable day for our two brothers, Mr. Busa Osowo Odu of the (APC) and Mr. Mike Njagu of the (PDP) In Nfom Osokom, before the commencement of the elections, our two brothers reconciled their differences today in the present of our Chiefs, Elders and well meaning people of our community. They embraced themselves and we all prayed for them to live in peace as brothers  from the same family"


Aside the fact that the community experienced a free, fair, and credible elections, the day was spiced up with a reconciliation ceremony. It was indeed a blessed day for Nfom-Osokom people. 

Dr. Agan, advised that politics should not be a game of prejudice in our society, but it should be a game of peace. We should all learn on how to forgive ourselves at all times.
